Wood-fired, deep dish, or a place that’s open late when you just HAVE to have a slice at 1am–we’ve got a list of all the best pizza spots around town no matter what type of pie you’re in the mood for.

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (1)

For A New York Style Slice: Glide Pizza

Newcomer Glide Pizza is serving up NY style pies with a light, crispy sourdough crust that’s fermented for 48 hours and topped with house-made mozzarella and sauces. The walk-up window makes it easy for you to hop off the Beltline and grab a slice to take home. Now open on Irwin Street in Old Fourth Ward!

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (2)

For Comfy Neighborhood Vibes: Crispina and Firepit Pizza Tavern

We wish more restaurants in Atlanta were like Crispina: homey, unfancy vibes with great service and fantastic flavors at reasonable prices. Their wood-fired pizzas come out piping hot, and the chef is from Naples so you know you’re getting the real thing. They’ve also got some great pastas and their cannolis and panna cotta are out of this world, making this neighborhood joint a place you want to visit again and again. Locations in Vinings and in Kennesaw.

Another awesome intown pizza spot with those cozy neighborhood vibes is Firepit Pizza Tavern, in Grant Park. Their spicy honey pizza, with spicy capicola, caramelized onion, and honey ricotta is a real crowdpleaser, and their unicorn wings were listed as the “Best Meal of 2019” by an Atlanta Eats staff member. Their owner Leslie Cohen won Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen” and was a protege of Richard Blais, so she knows her stuff!

For a Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza: Nancy’s Pizza

It doesn’t get much closer to the real thing than Nancy’s Pizza, a Chicago-based chain and the gold standard for deep dish pizza in Atlanta. Perfectly layered with the prime cheese to sauce to topping ratio, the deep dish pizza is the perfect cheat meal that’ll put you right into a food coma. Locations in Campcreek, Midtown, Buckhead, Dunwoody, Roswell, and John’s Creek. If you’re not a fan of Nancy’s, check out our deep dish blog post for more Chicago style spots.

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (4)

For A Chic Beltline Experience and Detroit Style Thick Crusts: Nina & Rafi

What did we do before ? This O4W spot is the best of the Beltline. The indoors meet the outdoors for a great, fresh weather dining experience and as for food, it doesn’t get much better than their thick Detroit style pies. Get the cheesy bread and meatball appetizer, too, for the perfect start to your meal.

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (5)

For A Total Crowd Pleaser: Antico’s

This could be the most decorated pizza on the planet! But when you take pizza as seriously as owner Giovanni Di Palma does, you’re bound to win a few awards. Di Palma didn’t sacrifice one detail of his family’s age-old Pizza Napoletana recipe when he brought it here to Atlanta: Fior di Latta and Mozzarella di Bufala cheeses are flown in fresh from Naples each week; San Marzano and Pomodorini tomatoes are hand-picked in Campania; three 10,000 lb. ovens were custom built from ancient Santa Maria brick and volcanic rock from Mt. Vesuvius…and get so hot that a pizza cooks to perfection in only about 60 seconds.

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (6)

For The 11pm Munchies: Fellini’s and Argosy

Sometimes you get the late night munchies for pizza specifically and the All-star special Waffle House just won’t cut it. And in those times, Fellini’s and their white cheese pizza (our fave) is there for you. Or, if you’re out in EAV, Argosy has a kitchen open late and wood-fired oven that cooks up some great pies. Argosy’s Escobar pizza, with vegan chorizo and vegan Impossible burger, is particularly delicious.

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (7)

For Neapolitan Pies and Rooftop Vibes: Grana

Newcomer Grana is killing it on all fronts, and their wood-fired Neapolitan pies taste especially fantastic on their rooftop (first come, first serve). Their veal meatballs are full of flavor, and their potato pizza is such an interesting and unique take. One bite and you’ll see why this has become the new weekly spot for folks in Morningside/Lenox Park!

For an OTP Pie: Karvela’s Pizza

It’s definitely a bit out of the way for ITPers, but Southside Atlantans can rejoice because the Karvelas family is serving up GREAT pizzas and wings in Hogansville, LaGrange, and Newnan. They’ve got one of the *best* buffalo chicken pizzas we’ve ever had, and we love the casual vibes that promise a great time every time.

The Ultimate Atlanta Pizza Guide (8)

For a Unique Pie: Humble Pie

Enjoy a pie with locally grown fresh ingredients at Humble Pie. Serving a variety of pies for lunch and dinner to dessert! Want to eat a baked potato in pie form? May I suggest trying their baked potato pie with your customizations like caviar, black winter truffle, or sautéed shrimp? Don’t knock it till you try it!

For An Extra Cool Patio with your Pie: Urban Pie

You could enjoy some pizza inside or you can enjoy it on the Urban Pie’s colorful patio at this cool neighborhood spot. Their patio welcomes large parties perfect for family gatherings and is beautifully lit for the nighttime! Create your own pizza or try any of their signature pizza pies. It is not only about the pies, Urban Pie has events like bingo and poker so check out their website for more information!
