The Best All About Me Activities For Preschoolers (2024)

One of my favorite preschool themes year after year is All About Me! It’s especially perfect at back to school time. But I will have to admit that it is kind of a tricky preschool theme to come up with ideas for! We’ve rounded up the top All About Me activities and know they’ll be a hit with you and your kids.

I usually do an All About Me theme the first month or two after school starts. Or in a year-round setting, I would do it during a month when there aren’t a lot of holidays or other seasonal themes that fit.

All About Me activities are a fun way for kids to explore different aspects of themselves: their characteristics such as their hair, skin, eyes, and well as their differences and similarities. There are a ton of fun activities to tie in — sensory, writing, art activities, and so much more! We can teach preschoolers about their feelings and emotions, help them embrace their likes and dislikes, introduce name recognition and spelling, and more.

All About Me

Over the years I’ve noticed that the age of the preschool class makes a lot of difference in how I teach this theme. Many three-year-olds want to focus mostly on learning and talking about themselves. We discover their favorite color, their favorite foods, what their pet is, and the things that they love.

Many four-year-olds are ready to think a little further. So for them, we add their family, their neighborhood, their community, and more.
